I am getting the error "Missing Program Data" when I try to run the standalone executable I create. On my Vista Home Premium I could create the executables for a game I am making without any problems but not any more. The standalone created also seems to omit some embedded files selected when creating it. On XP the stand-alone I create for the same game gives no problems and its much bigger. Has anyone encountered this before?

Hi tsinkala, I used Basic4GL in Vista for about a year & never encountered a problem, I'm now using XP & the EXE creation works fine here. I suggest doing what dj has said & make sure you aren't forgetting anything. If it still doesn't work I would try reinstalling Basic4GL.

Hi,
The problem was that even after choosing what files to embed the final executable was not complete. I was getting something like 2.3MB instead of 4.3 MB. Anyway, I managed to create a complete stand-alone after trying a number of things that included saving the stand-alone to a different folder. I can create it now, but not if I choose my normal deployment folder.
Thanks

Good, at least you figured out the problem... lots of people have problems making .exe's.... i don't see what though, it has a tutorial and everything.
