Hey guys. I see what's happening, it's horrible. I've been using Basic4GL for a while, and I've ha so, so many projects that I haven't finished. I got so busy that I just gave up on them. Not to mention the fact that I've had THREE hard drives fail on me in the pat 30 days. Anywho, I own a small indie game development site called Ultima Island, and I'd love to make a new website for Basic4GL. Possibly using the old Basic4GL.net domain, or a Basic4GL.com name. For now, I'm willing to set it up on a subdomain wih Ultima Island. So, basic4gl.uirpg.com is where I'd like to host it for now. If Tom givs up completely on us, I'll move it to a .net/.com name and we'll keep it. I'm skilled in PHP/JavaScript so I can do a website myself, but if you guys are willing to do it, we can all decide on a layout and features. Like a built-in forum, a place to host projects, member blogs on their current programming feats, etc. Let me know what you all want to do. I can start immediately. :3

Just to let everyone know, I've been on a cruise ship for the last 8 days, without any internet access whatsoever. I'm waiting to jump on a plane home, and I'll sort out the problem then (hopefully in the next couple of days..).

Ha, I knew it. The problem with this forum is a lot of the people are too pessimistic & actually believed you'd turned your back on Basic4GL or just given up on it.

Ok me personally was about to make a post saying tom would never leave his own creation. It's like saying Microsft abandons windows. But I went home sick and only got on the internet now.

Important bit first: I've renewed the Basic4gl.net domain, so the website should come up again shortly (however long it takes for DNS servers to update).I guess I don't actively develop Basic4GL anymore, but I do still read the forums. I have made some small changes to it since the last released version, not sure if it's worth another release though. (It remembers your "Create standalone exe" settings for each program.) Could be worth posting up.. I mentioned to Supermonkey that I'd like to get Basic4GL up on Sourceforge. However it would have to be done properly, which means a few things like choosing the correct license to use (I've been looking at GPL or BSD), and making sure it is compatible with the licenses that the third party libraries use (like Corona corona.sourceforge.net and Audiere audiere.sourceforge.net), and that the license info is bundled up correctly, displayed in the right place in the installer etc. I can't really justify putting the time in at the moment. I'd welcome any help with it though. -Tom
