Hey guys,
I'm sorry for 2 things in the last 3 months
first is not being here often, I have looked but didnt login.
The second was unable to get motivation to do work on my last project.
However I am going to create a new project it wont be very big and wont be massive. The first version of it will be very basic in terms of players wont have a lot of features to play with at first.
The game will be a Race Track Manager where you can select 6 tracks (fictional from 6 cities in Australia) The 7th city is melbourne and has a Formula 1 race held there in real life and your goal is to get the world championship race held at your track. The original design was to have a track maker at the start of the game and you can add new track features but that will come at a later version if I continue to create the game.
This project isnt going to be normal for me though as I wont to see if I can make a polished game and have it finished.
So the features are going to be:
- Sponsors
- Upgrade track facilities (10 levels) (each level adds extra 10,000 people capacity, upgrades catering, Pitlane and adds 10 extra sponsor boards
- Ad Campaign to get better quality races
- Race types (Local, Regional, National, World) There are 6 local championships, 4 regional championships, 2 national championships and 1 world championship.
- Background Music
Once I have these features implemented and working I will release it for you guys to play with. I will create several demo versions for you to play with and to tell me if it works or if you find bugs. The OS I will use and test personally will be Windows 7 but it should run fine on all versions. Demo versions of the game won't have the finalized polished touches.
If I have fun developing the game I will continue if I don't I will stop developing for a while but only once I have finished the first version.
But now back to the topic I'm glad I have time to be back and mess around with Basic4GL.
Regards
Wayne Rayner
