we need 2 funcs that return the x and y location of basic4gls text.
like so:
locate 16, 1 print textposx() 'returns 16 print textposy() ' returns 1

you can already mostly do that by accessing whatever variable you used to set the locate command. if that really isn't feasible in your program i would recommend reconsidering your current structure before it comes around and bites you in the rear with a weird and difficult to track down bug.

I think he wanted it (from a post I seen of his before) because he needed to know where the cursor was for a function of his. But yeah I consider that true if you got your own X/Y position you should think about doing that for your functoin. Might be useful to have them though, - Nicky P. S. Who are you?
