Hi there, do you know CoolBasic ? Comes from Finland is like BlitzBasic. Is really easy to learn. Based on DirectX and has a good speed. I wrote a little game in two days therewith. Maybe, you have interest therefor. The forum has an english site and a finnish one. www.coolbasic.com/

I prefer playbasic myself. These two languages were both developed at around the same time and fom what I remember there was quite a bit of competition .

I tryed Playbasic myself but i didnt like it its more of a scripting language on top a game engine than anything else.

Well it's more for people who don't want or need to understand the finer points of games development. It's still a very accomplished programming language though and mighty fast for an interpreted language (compiler & vm same as b4gl).

DarkBasic is kinda impressive. It's very similar to B4GL Yes, I know 'cause both is built upon Basic
