People have tried previously to embed their dlls in an exe using Basic4GL but it doesn't work. You're probably looking for an exe binder but I wouldn't recommend you use them. The commercial binders are usually expensive & the free ones regularly get detected as Viruses which make them difficult to distribute. PowerBasic & thinBasic both let you create a bundled executable with everything contained within one exe but I don't know of any free application which does it for programs written in Basic4GL.

Matthew, it's no big. I wrote one in GFA. Is how I -ahem- made a B4GL exe onetime "couching" the audiere.dll and b4glsound.dll inside its EXE frame while it played music from the same single EXE. If it looks like no-one has mastered playing MIDI yet for B4GL, may have to go back to my GFA booster for B4GL which incorporates it. Hope not. Looking over Thinbasic. Always interested in seeing new programming langs.

You could use winrar to make an sfx archive that extracts to a temprary folder and then runs the exe without showing the user anything.

Hi Wolfman:
* Problem is, work is still revealed in temporary directory. Would like to see B4GL ability to house internally all DLLs and data needed for single *.EXE.

Embedding plugins would be very convenient, would Tom think of adding this feature?
