This crashes my computer
printr "hi" printr "press enter to crash your computer" if scankeydown(vk_return) then gosub fail:endif fail: do glclear(gl_depth_buffer_bit or gl_color_buffer_bit) loop until scankeydown(vk_back) return
when run and enter is pressed, it stalls for about 10 sec and then "WINDOWS IS SHUTTING DOWN"
when it reboots i get the good ol' error box along with "WINDOWS HAS RECOVERED FROM A SERIOUS ERROR" afterwards a popup saying "YOUR DISPLAY DRIVERS HAVE BEEN FORMATED" (^^and i didnt even know they did that!!^^)
and then things run as normal
if anyone knows why, it would be nice to know : )

When I run the program Basic4GL just reports that an exception has occurred, admittedly the program is a bit slow to shut down.

1) prolly overloaded your computer because of infanitly swapping your buffers, are you running vista? i know vista has an opengl problem with that 2) basic4gl seems to have a problem with gosubs and do loops, normally you wouldnt even put a do loop inside of a function anyway 3)heres the same thing in an updated sytax
declare sub crash()
printr "hi" printr "press enter to crash your computer"
if scankeydown(vk_space) then crash() : endif
sub crash() while true glClear(GL_COLOR_BUFFER_BIT or GL_DEPTH_BUFFER_BIT) if scankeydown(vk_escape) then end :endif wend end sub

no im not running vista, im running it on my xp comp. And it doesnt give me any "exception occurred" error. It just shuts my computer down and then... well, i explained that already. i just wanted to know if there was a reason it did that or if it was just my comp.... oh well
