I'm attempting 3ds max as well, so at the moment I will focus on making models myself.

I don't have 3d studio max and I dont want to install the trial version, but the 3d model i found said that it includes a .obj in the download. I would like to get 3d studio max but its not in my budget.

Get a converter? I have one i'll post a link later. And there is a plugin that lets blender import .max files. I'll get a link for that to.

How did you find it? I keep looking for a .max plugin for blender but I cant find any. Are you sure isn't a scam, because every 3d forum Ive looked at says there isn't a way to load .max files in blender

as far as i know there is no way to open .max files, and its a 3ds format anyway, secondly make your own models dont download and export you miss the point if you do that 3rd, its way more fun otm kae them yourself anyway -darkjester
