You never backed up? That's a rookie mistake. The community hasn't got the people required to make major changes to the language in my opinion. Half the people here just spam the forum with crap (admittedly it's calming down now), people dissappear for months at a time and to be honest what was the last good game or demo someone made? Are we actually trying to boost a dying language we use or one we all feel attached to? I've been here since day 1 of this community I think basic4gl is great but I haven't used it for years! Shadow008 and i are working on a game as we speak.. we've been working on it for weeks. That answers your question to people actually doing something with B4GL. =P And i'm trying to make a sudoku puzzle solver and several other things

And well why am I even saying this but I'm attempting to make a business simulation game. Well you own a game dev studio. It's coming along quite well, a demo could well be out before June, but it depends on school.

Now I'm actually using it to learn openGL, so ha in your face Supermonkey! I still think we need more examples with a "wow" factor to really attract users. Head over to the freebasic, darkbasic or blitzbasic sites and see what I mean. I think basic4gl is great for prototyping at least. I mean even if you plan to make that big commercial game using super cool C++ and openGL, basic4gl is a great place to knock something together.
^^ Can that be a quote on the new site?

I think that would be a really great quote on the new site, speaking of which, are we going to have a custom made website? if so, i have started messing around with html, but I believe we should make it a Team project.. I have a start but we need screen caps of some of the more impressive programs written in basic4gl along with some pretty logos (the webpage changes the logo every screen refresh because i thought it would be kinda cool to do) www.box.net/shared/3kvqb4i14aheres a start, lets get this webpage looking amazing enough to attract possible future b4glers!

My thought was that anyone with a resource could put an attachment in their reply; that way all the resources would be available for anyone who wants to work on the website

Well i say one person puts the site together like adam is already doing. The resources should just be sent to that one person to stop a million basic4GL sites that will be created by lots of people.
Also if it is going to be a team project set tasks like adam does the main page, I do the download page ect. Thats for the webpages and we keep whatever layout and color scheme that the person who does the main page.
Then the graphics have some one focusing on the banner and logos and someone else who does buttons.
and we do it in this format until we get the website completed.
just my thoughts really

*facepalm why are we discussing the same topic saying practically the same things with basically the same people on TWO threads!? How the HECK are we going to coordinate this project if we can't even decide where to talk about it at!?
