CheckersI've created a functional checkers game. Its features include: - Optional Multiple Jumping
- Optional Forced Jumping
- Animated Checker Motion
- Multiple Boards
- 3D and 2D views
Bug reports and suggestions are very welcome. I know there are some bugs in properly detecting victory, I'll try to figure it out. I think that this is kind of special because, on the forum, I haven't seen many board games, and those I saw were barely started.

Any chance you could put it into a single zipped folder and post it to your site?
Just tried it out and found some really weird stuff..
1). You cant simply just start it by clicking "OK"... nor can you change any of the pregame preferences... 2). Some multiple jumps in game that does not have a multiple jumps enabled ends in a win for both sides.... ? 3). ....Black checkers on a black board with a black background?!?!?!?! That should probably be fixed (as in, not allowed...)

The zipped folder is up at first link, no exe because my internet is slow . If you really want the exe, I'll try to put it up. 1. As for changing preferences, you have to hold the mouse button down for a little while. 2. I believe I have fixed the issue with the false wins (changed 1 IF statement) 3. Yea, black&white board is bad. It is gone. PS. One other thing, to deselect the pre-game option checkboxes, you right-click them.

I would like to present version 0.3! Here's a breakdown of the new features: - Suicide and Normal Checkers
- Saveable Options
- Faster options menu
- Simple AI
-Suicide checkers is where you win if you have no pieces or can make no moves. Note: If you enable suicide checkers, forced jumps is also enabled because if you don't have to jump, it becomes a pointless game. -I made the options menu faster by replacing the FontPlugin with this. Now the checkboxes, sliders, etc are more responsive. -The AI randomly moves pieces that can legally move (it's funny watching an AI-AI game). Can someone who knows about AIs give me some ideas for improvement? Also, if someone knows how to make a good, simple crown image or knows where some are would also be appreciated.

Any reason the ai happens to be suicidal ? XD XD XD XD
Yeah, AI vs AI is funny, especially when each has only one king on each corner.... random doesnt cut it there : P

I think it may only seem suicidal because one wrong move is disaster. To improve on this, v0.4 contains a second AI that works by trying to avoid moves that give the enemy more jump opportunities (aka stupid moves). And if you set a 'normal' AI against an 'easy' AI, the 'normal' AI wins, usually by a large margin. The 'normal' AI also makes winning difficult for me, and usually creams me in suicide checkers. The only other change I can rememember making from v0.3 is an improved crown image on the kings.
