I thought I'd get B4GL out of the vertex interp. days (Sorry MD2, it just wasn't working out) and go with a more modern animation format. Introducing ***.BVH animation files!!!*** Skeletal based animation thats really easy to make. .BVH files with simple animation can be made in ~ 4-6 minutes. MD2 takes a few hours to get right.... IKR?! For anyone curious; In blender, it exports armature data that have keyframe data to them. No rigging, no skinning, it's really as simple as that. As you will see in the program, the limbs are boxes (change that if you want; in the include file - bottom of the code) but could be replaced with .obj models to give it a somewhat realistic (at least believable) look. Mess around with it, see what you can get. Here's the specs: www.character-studio.net/bvh_file_specification.htmDownload my current version here (May or may not update) The source code I converted is included in the download, and credit goes to the guy here: www.oshita-lab.org/index.htmldl.dropbox.com/u/5319168/BVH%20Animation.zipLets see some animation in games now!
