I believe that my video card is starting to go bad but it isn't even a year old yet, this is only the second time it has done this, and a reboot fixes it.. I also get full screen tears occasionally but i believe that is to do with flash since it started happening when they added video acceleration to it (and it only tears when i have flash running) picasaweb.google.com/118059586289197340395/ScreenCaptures#5630907207371566818and is it just me or does the img tag never work anymore?

I can't imagine that there is something physically wrong with the card, maybe you need to update the driver?

when i updated the driver it started happening more often. according to people on youtube its a bug in windows 7 aero (kinda wish they would fix it if thats what it is) switching to the basic theme and then back to aero seemed to fix the problem well... temporarily
and i guess I am just too stupid to use the img tag anymore >.<

It could just be a rogue application. A lot of programs are designed to run on XP & if you run them on Vista or Windows 7 they screw up the display. I know when I used to run Vista I encountered the problem sometimes.
I don't think you're using the img tags incorrectly, in order to get the image to display I had to upload it to my wiki, lol.

I haven't seen any of the common signs of a rogue (pull them off computers at work all the time) but i will run some cleanup software and see what happens. that has only happened twice in two months, but it is starting to bother me
also, the img tag might just not support https (i used to be able to use it perfectly fine and still use it the same way, i went and edited one of my old posts where i had used it and it worked to see what i was doing wrong)
