Just bought a new computer with a 64-bit processor (old one was 32-bit). All my old B4GL programs (which I fortunately backed up) look real crappy and some won't even run. Graphics all screwed up. Even text is an adventure. Friend suggested the 32 to 64 bit change is the problem. I don't know enough about that stuff to have a clue. Anybody agree with my friend? Any solutions?
Thanks.

Hi joeschmoe, I'd probably say your problem is related to your Graphics Card rather than your 64-bit Processor. During the time I've been using Basic4GL I've used it on 3 different computers. Each time I've had to change the code of my programs slightly. I discovered that my problems were being caused by my sloppy coding rather than it being a problem with Basic4GL. There's a program here which generates a Maze, it was written by Tom back in 2004 and it's worked on every Computer I've owned in the past few years without any changes having to be made. Copy and Paste the Code into your IDE, Run it and see if it works. It should look like the attached image. You could also try updating your Graphics Card Driver if all the other solutions fails.

You could also try updating your Graphics Card Driver if all the other solutions fails. this are the most problem if opengl makes trouble on a new box. DJ

Thanks Matthew and DJ. I'll update and see if things improve.
Tom's game worked fine and looked OK.

FYI, you guys were right on. Updated drivers did the trick and also improved almost every commercial game I play. Thanks!
