Hi Darkjester: * No, it's actually very quick. I am going to use this string space to store off images for pushspace to a graphic editor I am working on; source included. While you could load/save the entire lot of it quickly, it might be better to make direct modifications to an existing file, similar to random access, so when you plot pixels in the editor, you exit, re-run, all your pixels are exactly as you left them for your workspace until you load a new workspace. How useful is that ?

its slow for me lolz im running a hack of winxp for performance on a pentium 2 underclocked notebook pc 64 megs of ram its really slow for me lolz

Takes <2 sec here. Mind you, I've gotta 6ghz WinXP. OK, now that I know it's slow for others, I'll go to incorporate the direct file/pixel modifier. The only thing slow then will be extracting out for replacing workspace. I could avoid all this muss if -someone- would upate their 2Dgraphic.dll library and include the ability to get/put graphic regions to/from strings. But maybe I'll learn something important by writing this. (yah right !)
