Hi Tom:
* You're still reading these, right ?
Wanted to make a suggest on a way to write a function.
Here is the original model:
function char$(a$,a):return mid$(a$,a,1):endfunction
Here is a way it could be written which might be easier (allow for both).
function char$(a$,a)=mid$(a$,a,1):endfunction
Also, you might make it optional for EOL to signify the end of a definition (make it an option in configure), so you could change this:
function char$(a$,a)=mid$(a$,a,1):endfunction if keydown(chr$(16))<0then shiftkey=1endif
to this:
function char$(a$,a)=mid$(a$,a,1) if keydown(chr$(16))<0then shiftkey=1
A brief suggestion about the IDE, maybe allow for 2-background colors for the line the person is editing, and the line the person is not editing. Say configurable but default $FFFFFF for the line the person is on in the IDE and $DFEFFF for the rest of their sourcecode.
What do you think ?
