Hey guys,
So as you know I have been developing company world but did you know it stated from a framework that I created back in 2010? Ok so I have recreated it every time for every new project as I hadn't actually created the framework (Not a in the framework has changed since 2010 except the game code in it) but I have decided to a release the basic framework I use in creating games (even though I don't get very far) and secondly to add more functionality in the future.
Here is how the framework works. It is basically a set of comments in source code file so I know where to put the right code and keep it neat it also has a set of modules files that are useful for keeping source code files smaller by having more of them. It also is a set of folders to put things like graphics, extra source code files and also release folders as well as a way of keeping older versions in a folder in case you need to go back or just to see how much your code has changed and how much progress you have made from version to version.
Lastly there is a function and subs folder which has subs.gb and functions.gb that you can add your own functions and subs if you need to. It also has premade subs by me that you could use for your games.
Ok so I have the first version of the framework version 0.1.0 (I wasn't going to release it for a while longer but I changed my mind )
So the features of Version 0.1.0 is
- Empty framework to have your code ready to be written in
- Folder Framework
- Source modules
- DisplayText (Sub) check the readme for more info on how to use it
More subs and functions will be added in the future as well as demo on how to use the empty framework also a couple of different types of small demos will be added as well
