Hello, I am SnapperTheTwig. I am new to Basic4GL, and I think that it is fabulous! Fast, simple effective. You've done a good job, Tom! I've read the tutorials and decided to start with somthing simple - such as a text based scrolling shooter. Well, I've put this together in two days (about 8 hours total), and I plan to release the source a little later so that others can learn from it. (This was encoded ENTIRELY by me.) Link: www.freepgs.com/snapperthetwig/Downloads/StarThreat.zip Please, any feedback is welcome. (BTW, is there any way of "undimming" a veriable?)

Hello. I'm fairly new to Basic4gl too. Only about 4 weeks of experience. My first game was pretty lame. I modified the space invaders game from the tutorial so the enemy dropped bombs on you and you could lose lives. Extremely repetitive gameplay.
But your version is pretty cool. Haven't seen one like that yet. Translating the text into sprites or shapes might be a good way to spice it up though! ;D
And I have no idea if you can undim a variable, I just know that apparently you can't re-dim a variable.
BTW, I've got a couple cool demo programs if you want to check them out.

Yeah, I had a dim in the main loop - took me ages to figure out what the problem was... lol.
