Hey guys.
I'm needing a plugin that will allow Basic4GL to connect via internet to an IRC server.
It's completely possible but I don't know enough C++ to do it (nor do I feel like learning that much).
Could someone please make a simple plugin to allow communications via, say:
connection=connectIRC(IP,port)
sendIRC(string,connection)
string=getIRC(connection)
with an IRC Server?
I'm wanting to make an IRC client but Basic4GL's network connections junk won't correctly interact with an IRC server (I send and send messages but never recieve any back, and I'm using the RFC that I'm supposed to be using).
It's not that I don't know what I'm doing, I've made some internet chat programs with Basic4GL before, but it's Basic4GL's connectivity algorithm. Somehow, it's not connecting to the IRC server and/or sending messages on the right wavelength or something.
Please help. I'd really love to have a plugin to help with this.
