Hi everyone, I'm new to Basic 4GL and have a few questions:
1.) What is the highest quality game created with Basic 4GL?
2.) is it possible to create an RTS with Basic 4GL?
3.) its it possible to import 3D models that were made with...say, 3D Canvas Pro, or anim8tor, or Pro Motion?
4.) is it possible to import environments created in 3D World Studio?
5.) what type of graphical effects can you add into your games?
Not that i expect to create similar a game like Diablo 3 with Basic 4GL, i know that this is just a starting language, but i wanna create some nice games here before i move on ti say...Dark Basic, unless anyone here has suggestions for a better IDE

Hi gradeakill, welcome to the forum. 1.) Take a look here. 2.) Yes 3.) People have tended to import models from Blender in the past. 4.) I don't know, maybe someone else can help you. 5.) Particles, lighting, etc.

Are there any examples other than from the website? i checked those out already, they're pretty nice but i was hoping i could make as great as Diablo.
what about AIs?
and say I'm making a bunch of spells for my characters, i can make all of those you say, teleports, lightning strikes? Because i know the Basic 4GL is its own language, and not specifically BASIC the language, how advanced can i go with he syntax, after viewing some of the 3D models in the examples that come with Basic 4GL, i wasn't too impressed, they seemed pixely, but i can assume that importing models from 3D Canvas Pro can work great. right?
And i really must be able to import environments from 3D World Studios, because it would be a nightmare having to type it all out.
And its alright if these things don't live up to all my hopes and expectations, because i know this it for starters, i'm just hoping that i can do such great things with this

Welcome gradeakill, Basi4GL is a simple to learn language with OpenGL support. Not more and not lesser. It's not a GameMaker or a replacement for any other commercial Game creation Tool. I mean you must import/load your 3D World/Models by your own lines of code. There isn't no limit to make high quality gfx effects the limit is only your talent and how do are willing to learn OpenGL. Learning in this scope is more a funy part. If you will run in to trouble the forum is the right place to get support but you should post your lines of code that makes problems.
Before your brain are exploded start with a simple PingPong in 2D and go step by step to the next level of Sound, 3D, Networking, AI, Physics, UserInterface ...
By the way is any missing in B4GL it has support to use Plugins written in any other language that can create *.DLL's.
3,2,1 happy coding ;-)

lol he is pretty smart but somtimes youre gonna have to take what someone else says and tranlate it so u understand for yourself most people will tranlate it differentyl cause somtimes when you think somone is smart you have the same capabilitys as them you just have to unlock them, or somone else can bring out your inerself(like darkjester made me a muchh bettert programmer)
