NEW VERSION!!! omploader.org/vMXRtZAHere's a list of what I've added... -Ability to play again after game over. -Sound effects -Streaming NetRadio during gameplay (custom plugin written by yours truly) There might be more but I'm not sure. These are the big ones though. As always let me know what you think, and what could be changed/made better.

its really fun, now that you have sound makes me feel like im playing a tournament based shooter!, one final question, What type of collision did you use?

No need to make this your final question. I'm testing the length between A and B. If A is THIS close to B then we have a collision. This creates a sort of bounding sphere around the objects being tested for collision and if the spheres overlap, bam, collision. Pretty simple. I plan to add some debris that you can hide behind. That will use bounding box collision detection.

SWEET! =D
I'm still working on Asstroidz by the way. I've just had some downtime on my machine. I sorted out a bug in the sound, only to create another one haha (to be fixed today). As it turns out, the stock B4gl sound library is NOT happy in Linux/Wine or Vista 64. I'm writing a full custom sound library that is SURE to run in wine and vista, and ditching the stock stuff.
After that I'm working on level up system. When you blow up asteroids you gain xp and will be able to spend this xp to boost attributes in between levels. You will also get XP bonuses for accuracy. So thats in the works.
Also on the way is better ship models (with animations), animated backgrounds, particle explosions, and death animations.

Awsome cant wait to play it, have you thought about adding enemies? and slowing the acceleration of hte ship down a little bit?

If you select the blue ship, it has much slower acceleration and more hit points. Try that one and let me know what you think.

Nice, also with the blue ship you get a lot more hit points.

So I've fixed the mem-leak in the sound system. I'm going to upload the newest version today and post it so keep an eye open. Sorry for the late release I've been so stressed with work its been making me sick (fevers and the shakes) so I haven't been coding much.
