My desktop names keep changing to stuff like "(0)", etc. What could be the cause?
I'm running Windows Vista, I've still got over a 100GB space. Nothing else is being effected - from what I know. I got 1GB ram. Anything else you wanna know feel free to ask.

It doesn't change your Desktop, it changes your Screen Resolution.

Just to clarify it hasn't got nothing to do with that. Matthews right it only changes the screen resolution. It has something to do with the webcam I installed, mhm weird.

how bout this theory if you screen res was infacted change it could also trigger the effect of windows center dekstop picture....in that case its could cause the picture to be centered somwhere of the posisituon of the screen...changing your desktop just by chnanging the res....but its probably just ur webcam lolz

How about you stop believing that the simple 10 line C++ program that xteraco wrote is some kind of sinister virus that damages the Windows registry.

I don't believe that smc has written a virus zack, I think he was just saying that it was possible to write one in 10 lines of code.
