Not necissarily, it could be an incompatibility that only shows up on certain systems under certain conditions( inn other words windows sucks) it used to work could be my ssytem though

windows doesn't suck, It is one the most widely used OS's in the world. Also it could be an incompatibility problem. I have used windows 7 since it was released almost. Basic4GL is the one software I have used the whole time without any issues

I've used windows 7 with basic4gl for quite a while now and the only problem I've seen is with the sprite engine not displaying sprites properly.
Did you try the "Run in compatibility with" options? I know that they do jack shit, but its worth a try...

Fixed it, wasnt any of the problems I thought it was, secondly, just because the os is really well known doesnt mean it doesnt have its problems, millions nad millions of lines of code somethings gonna go wrong with it at some point, weather its as you said incompatibilities or driver bugs or somethings, secondly thats my opinion lol microsoft is a bunch of greedy market share panty pinchers 3rd, i really dont think one os' should limit program options, like for instance the ability for their os be the only one that can execute direct3d code, now i understand the need for a standard but, in the interest of cross platform, pocketbook and wallet, windows sucks(once again my opinion dont take any of htis the wrong way ) -darkjester

Ok just so you know I never meant it didn't have it's problems it doesn't suck either. I reckon it's a very good os because it is the best pc os to release a game if not going the portable route as it has a lot more users than any other os. Secondly everything that is programmed is bound to have bugs or problems. It could be the hardware specifics it could be anything on one computer and runs perfectly on another. It just depends on how it is coded. btw going on a more C++ type of aspect than basic4GL
