Hey guys, Ok so this will be updated with release dates and information for each version along with a link to a place where to get Company World. The top will have the newest versions and the bottom will have the oldest versions. Version 0.5.0 Released on 1/04/2017 This version adds a partial UI Upgrade and better code Version 0.4.0 Released on 27/02/2015 This version adds the factory upgrade system and also a few smaller fixes. Download is no longer available Version 0.3.0 Released on 20/02/2015 This version added quite a few things like the hover help menu system, a random sales demand and various other smaller things Download is no longer available Version 0.2.1 Released on 15/02/2015 This version was a bug fix version but added Roll Over Images which it should of been a full version release because that was a fair amount of hard work to get it working. Fixes in this version was a bug with the increase and decrease toy price as well as getting rid of the calculating text at the end of a turn. Download is no longer available Version 0.2.0 Released on 14/02/2015 This version added menus for the Factory and R&D Lab as well as a max for employees and costs for the factory as well as other smaller things. Download is no longer available Version 0.1.0 Released on 13/02/2015 This version added Increase and Decrease Staff Wage and Hire and Fire Employees. Download is no longer available Version 0.0.1 ReCreated Version Released on 25/09/2014 This version was the begining of the current game that has been released. It had Hire and Fire Employees and End Turn as well as a calender system of a sort. It calculates on 4 weeks per month so 4 x 12 = 48 weeks so four weeks per year of this game is missing and it may get fixed in the future or it may be left alone not to sure yet. Download is located a few posts down (7 to be exact) Version 0.0.1 Released on 28/12/2012 This was the first and only version released at the end of 2012 and I never made another version from this source code which I lost unfortunatly but I did recreate this version lucky for me and have been developing Company World quite nicely. This version allowed you to hire and fire staff and end turn. Remember this post will be updated for every new version but I will also post a new post to this thread every time I release a new version. I just felt like making tidy first post Attachments:

Hi Wayne hope you had a nice Christmas too, the game looks promising so far. Currently there's a lot of Text on the Screen, you might want to try replacing that with Graphics when you start developing a future version. Also you could try introducing Random events such as what happens if an Employee leaves the Company or is Fired?

Thank you for your input. Yes part of a future release it will all go to Images (however I will have to get/pay someone for images as photoshop on my computer is not speedy. That is why I have went the text approach and there is still a lot of things that need text. Basically the first page has a lot of text because it is a little guide for people to play (when I do release it, I will have a main menu and have the getting started guide on the help section).
For the next version I am going to add R&D and a industry that everyone must run the company in. I will be adding workplace rating. If your workplace has a zero rating some employees may leave. Also there will be events like a employee gets bored of working or gets a better salary at another job. A future version will have AI companies and eventually a stock market.
This is a simulation game but not a powerfull simulation and some random events can be quite funny.
Eventually I will create a list of employees with stats around 1000 to start off with and each employee's stats will be randomly generated and thier wage also will be based off of their skills but that is for a future version.
For now I will be keeping it simple

Ok I have completed version 0.0.1 from scratch it's also a bit better than the first crack at it. I created using my Windows 8 Laptop and have no clue how it works on any other OS. I will be adding some more features as often as I can with lot's of small releases that makes it better. This version you can hire employees and fire employees and end turn. I am quite happy with this first small version and will hopefully have another version ready by the end of the weekend Regards Wayne Rayner P.S I have created a Installer Version if you want to use it instead of the zip file. I will create patch installers that only install the files needed for that version from the previous version if you want to go that way (However I have to zip it as I can't upload setup.exe to these forums but I will continue to do it this way for future versions hope you enjoy

Well I'm using Windows 8 too Wayne and it worked fine here.
What kind of features are you going to add in the future?
Also if you're using Windows 8 make sure you store your programs in your OneDrive folder so you won't lose them. ;-)

Hey Matthew, Features for the next version are: - Increase and Decrease Wage - Change the price of the toy - How much each toy costs to make (will include materials cost in a future version this just calculates how much you pay a employee to make a toy) - At the end of each year the employees will want a raise (You do not have to grant it but employees won't be as productive) Future Versions Major features: - Research and Design (R&D) (Ways to cut production costs, ways to produce more and various other things) - Company types to choose from Automobiles to Cigerette Companies - Create a subsidiary company (so Choose to start another company from the company you already run) - A Realistic Sales System (Based on Marketing, Brand Awareness, Brand Quality and price) - Competitors for each company type - Work Environment Upgrades (So that the employees are happy where they work otherwise they will leave or they won't be productive or both) - Random Events (E.G. Employees go on strike for higher wage, Supplier Makes Materials cost more due to problems etc) Not sure which of these versions will be worked on and when. Also not sure when the next version will be availiable as I am very busy with work and uni at the moment, but hopefully the next version will be ready over the weekend. I will then also decide what features to implement and make better for the next version after that. This is a I like this feature lets add it sort of project and is something I feel like doing as well as getting me back on the road of programming. It also will never be a finished product in the way that I have no goal to get it to a certain place and sell it. With that said if it works well and I get to a standard that is able to be sold I will. Let's See where it goes

Hello guys, It has been a while since I posted anything and it has also been a while since I updated this game. Well I have finally finished the first version properly. The version 0.1.0 release allows you to: - Start a Toy Company - Hire and Fire Employees - Increase and Decrease Wages - End the turn which is a week. Eventually if you get far enough or are bored enough to you will reach the end of the first year and eventually more and more. - Production Costs So that is the first version it has production costs which was not in the previous version as well as increase and decrease wage which was not in the previously released version. The next version will probably have increase and decrease the price of the toy, as well as some sort of R&D system. So all the resources for company world is located on my site where I will release my games. My site is called Endless Code and you can find it hereThe company World page on my site is here (where you can read some stuff about it) And if you feel as though you don't want to go directly to my site you can download the installer version here or you can downloaded the zip version hereFeel free to tell me of any errors as well as any thing you think could be made better.

Hey guys, I should of posted this before but I was busy. Company World 0.2.0 is now available. Changes from version 0.1.0 to 0.2.0 are: - Added Factory Menu - Added R&D Lab Menu - Added Max Employees (to both the Factory Menu and the Staff Menu - Added Factory Weekly Costs (Changes Depending on Factory Type) - Added Weekly Production (to Factory Menu) - Added Standard Weekly Wage (If employees recieve less their production will drop if employees receive more their production will increase a bit. Production will decrease faster than increase so for instance, if you pay them less for 6 weeks, it will take around 12 weeks to get back to the original production amount). - Added Max Production (This increases when you upgrade the factory) - Added Upgrade Factory Framework (Will implement Factory upgrades in Version 0.4.0 You can view the company world page on my website here, which includes information about the company world game and you can also download Company World from there. I am now working on version 0.2.1 which is a bug fix version which addresses a few bugs created from version 0.2.0 but also adds in roll over images to all the buttons (A feature that I have not previously been able to implement for the last 5 years which I can finally implement YAY). It also changed the end turn of turn to no longer display calculation and is now only on sleep for 200 milliseconds instead of 500 milliseconds which it previously was. Then I will be working on version 0.3.0 which will have a window system implemented through sprites to mimic the functionality of windows. This version will also have a random sales demand for each turn. The window system will be mainly used for help sections throughout the game but will probably be used for setting employee wages through text as well as other things where you can change the numerical value of things. It will probably be used for researching new technology and upgrading the factory and R&D lab so you can see the benefits of it as well as the disadvantages. Will make the game look a lot better. Anyways I will get back to development now

Well better late than never Version 0.4.0 is now released. This version basically adds the Factory Upgrade system. I will be doing the R&D Lab in the next version which will be 0.4.5 as I split version 0.4.0 into 2 versions so I can still release version of Company World while being busy with Uni. I have made the first post of this thread look better with a brief summary of each version and where you can find a download of that version if it exists still. Another change and that is to my website I have added a download page for company world which has all the older versions of Company World ready for download while the Company World Page will only have the latest version ready to download. You can see the older version download page hereYou can download Version 0.4.0 (The latest version) from hereI will be starting my next version soon after I have made the code neater and easier to read with better comments so I know what is happening easier without trying to decode my programming to understand what is happening which takes around 30 minutes to finally understand what is happening lol.
