Well, I have made a number of improvements to the TMF Exporter. Mostly a small set of texture wrapping algorithms that can wrap a texture to the entire model in various ways. There is also the option of viewing the normals, it shows a small line for every face and vertex normal. You can also move the vertices by their normals... Its kindof like a smudge tool, if you want to decrease a vertex... You can leftclick on it, if you want to increase it... Rightclick. There is also a subdividing function that lets you subdivide your models faces... Its a simple one, it makes a new vertex in the middle of every face, then it reconfigures the face so that where there used to be 1 face... There is now 3. Very simple, yet it can come in handy. The textured models can then be saved to a format that can be used in atropine. Also, I will write a small tutorial so that people can use the tmf models in their own programs.
Reasons to use my tmf-exporter:
~It does all of the face AND vertex normal calculations for you
~It allows you to add textures to your models, that can be used in basic4gl
~It has built in texture wrapping routines, such as: Sphere map, 3 Perspective texture projections, 2 Normal based routines, and 1 really smooth seamless texture wrapper. The last one almost ALWAYS wraps a seamless texture nicely around the model in the most seamless way.
It only imports its own TMF's and Wavefront OBJ's. I am working to expand this and have a range of formats supported. I am going to put a GUI on it soon, but its kindof DOS looking until then. Anyway, I will probably upload just the new tmf to the atropine wiki tonight, it will also be in the next release... But I am not done with the newest atropine release. So, if anyone has any features request's or questions about the TMF format... Ask me. Thanks
