Ok, this is the first playable demo I've released for atropine. The engine, combined with some basic4gl knowledge is capable of alot better than this. But, I figured it would help people to know what atropine was if they seen it in action as opposed to the tech demo's I have been releasing. Dont get your hopes too up... This isnt a game or anything, it is just a demo to show you that games are possible in atropine. It features:
-Working shotgun, you have to pick it up first.
-Animated zombie with basic AI (it follows you and removes health when its close enough)
-Working particle system for blood splats.
-Working health system for player and zombie.
Well, I hope this clears up the confusion as to what atropine is. It seems like no one has known that it is an engine for YOU to make games off of. It is not a game... But rather a foundation for you to build a game from. Enjoy!

BTW, to get it to work, open up Basic4gl 2.3.5, then open the file "Atropine1.3" and then hit go. You use the mouse to aim, and "W A S D" keys to walk around. You can switch to Keyboard mode by pressing "M" then you can use the arrow keys to aim, Pageup/Pagedown to look up/down. Space jumps, and the left mouse button fires the shotgun (You have to pick it up first). There is a loud shotgun sound when you fire the gun... Dont jump.
Same little touches to point out... The blood splats spray and then stick to the ground when you shooth the zombie. They stay for a while, then disapear (for speed reasons, you dont want them to remain there). Also, the shotgun has recoil, notice how it blast's back when you shoot. Most of these functions and any requested functions will be added to the main engine when I get the chance, until then, just copy or learn from my script. Thanks
