Okay, i know some of the basics of OpenGl programming but now i want to learn how to make a 3d landscape, the example programs for a 3d landscape uses a file called hills01, and i want to know how ican make a fairly simple landscape, could someone please tell me how to do this. ;D

You'll need some kind of terrain generator program, though a plain old 3d modeller will suffice. I don't know of any free terrain generators but I do know of a very nice free 3d modeller. Its called blender and can be found here: www.blender3d.com/If that's too complicated for you to use you could always type in "terrain generators" in google and see what you come up with. Sorry if I can't offer any more help but I don't usually work with terrains.

Thanks for the link but what meant was how can you do it using Vertex and Vector commands, but thanks for your help. If anyone else could tell me about free 3d Modeling tools please let me know.

Why dont you just get a file converter that makes .jpeg heightmaps into .dat files , so Basic4gl can read it. If you dont know what I'm talking about, go to the data file in your Basic4gl directory and open up the hills01.dat file. You wont see much, since it will only show vertex positions in the landscape. Try to get a plugin for Photoshop or something that converters heightmap image files into .dat files.
